Up until April 2023, four years of my career were dedicated to editing Health & Wellbeing and Natural Health magazines. I’ve recently completed a three-month contract as acting group production director at Stylist magazine and a six-month stint as the acting editor of Psychologies magazine.
During my time at DC Thomson, I spearheaded the redesign of two health and wellness magazines and their websites under tight deadlines, ensuring our new look resonated with our audience. I also launched the ‘Walk to Wellbeing’ podcast, a project that involved extensive planning and content creation, and led to us being shortlisted for multiple awards, including the best health and wellbeing category at The Publisher Podcast Awards 2022.
My collaborative and adaptable approach has been key in my career, allowing me to seamlessly transition between different editorial roles and work effectively with diverse teams. My recent freelance work includes contributions to Stylist, Psychologies, Happiful, and Liz Earle Wellbeing, where I’ve continued to excel in fast-paced, dynamic environments.
I’ve interviewed some incredible people such as Caitlin Moran, Philippa Perry, Davina McCall, Lisa Snowdon, Angela Scanlon, Kate Silverton, Kimberley Walsh, Roxie Nafousi and Lorraine Kelly.
I’ve recently launched a newsletter on Substack called Unravelling. Subscribe here.
My hobbies include Trevor Nelson’s Rhythm Nation (and any other soul music), yoga, swimming (still haven’t braved the open water), walking (mainly in the countryside), gratitude journaling, reading and playing with my two-year-old son.
